Baked Brie with Pears and Almonds



Ingredients:

1 sheet Puff Pastry (I was going to attempt making this until I faced reality)
1 round Brie
1 soft, ripe pear, sliced
1 tbsp raw sugar
2 tsp soft butter
Small handful of chopped almonds

Directions:


Preheat oven to 400 F. Allow puff pastry sheet to reach room temperature. Roll out lightly floured puff pastry sheet. Place brie round in the center. Mix sugar and butter together until the sugar is dispersed evenly. Spread butter/ sugar mixture onto brie round, smooth evenly. Arrange half of the pear slices on top of butter sugar mixture. Sprinkle with half of the almond bits. Delicately fold the sides of the puff pastry sheet around the brie round and press dough onto itself. Turn the entire thing over and place folded side down onto a lightly buttered baking sheet.
Arrange remaining pear slices and almond bits on top. Bake for 20 minutes. Prepare for momentous enjoyment.
